Bio
Scott Green is currently the Head of the Evaluation and Oversight Unit at OCHA. Between November 2014 and March 2017, Scott served as the Coordinator of the Independent System-wide Evaluation (ISWE) Secretariat. He has served in a number of important roles focusing on the link between evaluation evidence and systemic policy development. He is long-standing member of the Steering Committee for the Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance (ALNAP), the largest evaluation and policy forum in the Humanitarian Sector. He is also an Expert Advisor to the State of the Humanitarian System Report and until 2014 served as the Chair of the IASC Steering Committee for Inter Agency Humanitarian Evaluations (IAHE). During this time, he led, multi-agency efforts to coordinate their evaluation work and to undertake new joint initiatives.
In 2012 and 2013, Scott served as an Advisory Member to the Independent Review of UNEG. He has also been a Member of the Interim Co-ordination Mechanism (ICM) which developed the new policy framework for independent system-wide evaluation (ISWE). Scott served as Co-Chair of UNEG's Joint Evaluation Task Force and has served at different times since 2004 as a member of both the Impact Evaluation and Gender Equality Task Forces. Scott has served throughout his career in a number of different programming, managerial and evaluation roles within both the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and the World Food Programme
