Overview

The study on Value for Money Analysis for GEF Land Degradation Projects used geospatial science, econometrics, and ecology to quantify the amount of carbon sequestered in GEF land degradation projects and estimated that these projects contributed on average $7.5 million (2014) to sequestration alone, which is above the average cost of most land degradation projects ($4.2 million).
