ALERT: False job offers and vacancy announcements
01/15/2009 We have received reports that an email entitled "E-vacancies in UNEG" is being circulated and that job offers are being made in the name of UNEG. These emails and offers are not on behalf of UNEG and should be ignored. |
Dear Colleagues and Friends of UNEG It has been brought to our attention that an email entitled "E-vacancies in UNEG" is being circulated. The email contains information relating to UNEG which has been taken from the website and lists a number of employment opportunities. This email has not been distributed either by, or on behalf, of UNEG and should be treated with the utmost caution. We strongly recommend you do not take any further action other than to delete the email. We have had subsequent reports of applicants being informed that they have been offered positions. Again, these positions are fraudulent and are not being offered either by, or on behalf of UNEG. We have informed the proper authorities who are now investigating this illegal use of the UNEG name and logo. Please note that, whilst we are taking all the necessary steps to prevent this from happening in the future, UNEG bears no responsibility should you wish to respond to the email. Best wishes The UNEG Secretariat |
