Evaluation of UNICEF’s Disaster Risk Reduction Programming in Education in East Asia and the Pacific
Overview
The evaluation focuses at the strategic level and is summative as well as formative. UNICEF EAPRO is the primary user of the evaluation, including the Country Office Management, Education, and DRR teams. Secondary users will include governments, their development partners and donors, and the education programme implementing partners in the region. The evaluation scope covers the years 2013-2018 at the organizational level of the 27 countries and the two regional offices. The evaluation focuses on eight priority countries with high levels of vulnerability: Fiji, Indonesia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Tonga, Vanuatu and Vietnam. Case studies will be produced on the four countries to be visited by the evaluators, Philippines, Tonga, Vanuatu and Vietnam.
