REPORT ON ASSESSMENT OF READINESS OF SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS IN TAMIL NADU, MAHARASHTRA, & NAGALAND
Overview
The objectives of the assignment Phase-wise are:
Phase 1
• To perform a series of rapid assessments of the readiness of supply systems
in three
high burden states to support scale up of PPTCT and ART programmes, i.e., to
identify potential bottlenecks that could delay implementation and formulate
recommendations to ensure a reliable supply during the active periods of scale
up.
• To review models for delivering out-reach services where they are planned, and
assess the supply components, not only the appropriateness of currently
available
commodities in various settings, but also operational requirements e.g. cold
chain
requirements, and replenishment options.
Phase 2
• To develop a capacity building strategy and implement the same to strengthen
procurement and supplies management at national and at slate level.
