We’re seeking a curious, fast-learning intern to bridge AI innovation with development evaluation. No prior evaluation experience needed – just bring your technical skills, passion for learning, and drive to solve real-world problems!
This is a remote position and is remunerated.
What You’ll Do
Data & AI Development:
• Provide support in updating and maintaining modular full-stack tools (frontend + backend (including data clearing)) for evaluation processes.
• Experiment with Generative AI (RAG, GraphRAG, hybrid systems) to make existing tools better.
• Transform existing data in dashboard through data visualization tool (e.g. Power BI)
• Support IOE's community of practice, produce AI-enabled newsletters/digests, and provide support in capacity building initiatives.
Who You Are
Education:
• You must be enrolled in an accredited university or graduate school, having completed at least two years of undergraduate studies and attended relevant courses within the last 24 months; OR You must have completed university studies at the undergraduate or postgraduate level within the last 24 months.
Technical Skills:
• Full-stack development (e.g. Python, JavaScript, React, SQL)
• Familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Hugging Face) and vector databases
• Data engineering (ETL processes, dashboard tools like Power BI or Tableau)
Mindset:
• A passion for AI-for-impact and evaluation/knowledge management
• A proactive experimenter who keeps up with the latest AI trends
• A teacher at heart – able to explain concepts like GraphRAG in simple terms (even to a 5-year-old!)
Age:
• You must be 30 years of age or younger.
Language:
• Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another IFAD official language (Arabic, French, or Spanish) and/or any other local language may be necessary, depending on the region of assignment.
