This report is the product of the end-of-cycle review conducted for UNICEF and
the Government of China on projects involving Children in Need of Special
Protection. These projects can be divided into five categories: community-based
rehabilitation projects for children with disabilities; street children
projects; capacity building of Child Welfare Institute staff and Community
Fostering projects; trafficking in women and children; and Convention on the
Rights of the Child advocacy. Projects were evaluated for their successes,
constraints on the program, and recommendations on how to overcome constraints
and directions for the next cycle.
