The purpose of this brief paper is to assess the performance of CFS schools in
the 2006 grade 5 examinations in the Punjab. Essentially, the paper asks the
following questions:
(i) Did students attending CFS schools perform better than those attending non
CFS schools in the Punjab in all or any subjects, and
(ii) was that the case for both boy and girl CFS school
