The purpose of this assignment is to carry out a full evaluation of the CGPU in
all 11 districts of Lesotho. The evaluation will primarily be used as guide
towards the successful implementation of the CGPU functions and identify
capacity gaps of the SGPU in order to identify future intervention strategies
for further development in all three Police regions. This will serve as an
indicator that will assist in identifying areas in need of strengthening in
these three regions. This strategy will also enhance the establishment of
networking opportunities with other stakeholders such as Youth Centres,
Adolescent friendly Health Corners, and District Child protection Teams.
Objectives of this Evaluation
(i)To assess the capacity of CGPU personnel,
(ii)To assess CGPU’s capacity in terms of logistics and equipments,
(iii)To measure the effectiveness of the CGPU system both at national and
district level,
(iv)To appraise CGPU services from child friendliness and gender sensitivity
perspective, and,
(v)To assess the demand side, which means whether people are aware about this
service and what is their perception about CGPU
