Evaluation of the Primary Health Care Pilot Project
Overview
The study’s purpose was to evaluate the project’s impact on the health status
of population and on the practices of the medical personnel in the Hancesti
district.
The study’s objectives:
1. To evaluate the dynamics of main health indicators of the population in
Hancesti district, especially those pertaining to the interventions carried out
by the Basic Package of health Services.
2. To evaluate the medical practices within the district’s PHC.
3. To gain insight on the opinion of medical personnel (providers of health
services) and that of population ( beneficiaries of the health services) in
what concersns various elements of the project: basic package of services, use
of essential drugs, treatment protocols, mechanism of community –based
financing, etc.
