Formative evaluation of the Adolescents Girls and Young Women peer mentor program in Tshwane, eThekwini and uMgungundlovu
Overview
The purpose of the formative evaluation is to assess processes and the extent to which these processes are likely to lead to the achievement of results.
The objectives are to:
(a) To assess implementation of the program in line with the set outputs, results, outcomes and impact;
(b) To critically analyse the factors that may have influenced implementation of the program positively or negatively;
(c) Determine effects of the program on larger National programmes such as PMTCT and identify areas that can be strengthened.
(d) To provide lessons and recommendations aimed at informing programme improvement and scale up
