The evaluation of the IMHI project in South and West Sulawesi is part of a
wider annual review process which started in 2006 and which will continue to at
least 2009. The focus is on projects addressing maternal and neonatal health,
funded by AusAID and DFID. In 2006 the IME team examined the IMHEI project in
NTB and the IMHI project in central Java. In August 2007 the IME team has
examined the SISKES project in NTB , and the IMHI project in South and West
Sulawesi, both of which are funded by DFID. Each year the IME review is
expected to assess:
• Project achievements against project objectives
• The alignment of project activities with Government of Indonesia policies
• The harmonisation of project activities with those of other international
agencies
• Opportunities for learning within and between provinces, and the assisting
agencies
