INTER-AGENCY ASSESSMENT OF CHILD PROTECTION ISSUES & NEEDS IN IRAQ
Overview
The assessment provides a snapshot of children and child protection issues in
mid-2003 Iraq with respect to the below objectives:
1. To map key risks and issues affecting the protection of children;
2. To identify particularly vulnerable groups of children;
3. To examine the elements of a protective environment for children that exist
today;
4. To identify immediate emergency needs to initiate rapid response as
appropriate;
5. To support the development of child protection policy and practices in
Iraq.
