The time frame for implementation of the Initiative is 12 months (November 2009
to November 2010), and a documentation exercise was conducted at the completion
of the Initiative to capture evidence generated and lessons learnt from the
implementation of the different catalytic and strategic interventions that were
carried out in the different sites towards improved MNCH status. The Initiative
aimed at providing a model for strengthening service delivery through
integrating PMTCT with routine MNCH services and through community
participation. Evidence generated will inform and influence policy for
improving equitable access to quality services.
