Some 23 evaluations of UNICEF-supported water and environmental sanitation and
guinea worm programmes were reviewed and analyzed in order to:
- Gauge the extent to which these programmes have led to sustainable
improvements for children and women
- Highlight the lessons learnt from the programmes
- Suggest programming trends and strategies for the sector
