Therapeutic Feeding Programme in Ethiopia
Overview
Evaluate the current Therapeutic Feeding Programme in Ethiopia before
continuing the expansion. Strengths and weaknesses need to be identified in
order to take the appropriate corrective measures for the success and
sustainability of the programme. At the same time, the FMOH requested UNICEF to
assist in the revision of the national protocol for the management of severe
malnutrition and the introduction of the SMART
tool (Measuring Mortality, Nutritional Status and Food Security in Crisis
Situations).
