Terminal Evaluation of the Project: UN Environment/UNDP/WRI Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Programme
Overview
The project's overall development goal was to “to prepare countries to access| manage| deploy| and monitor scaled-up financing through the Green Climate Fund”. The initiative works in nine countries: Benin| Colombia| El Salvador| Fiji| Ghana| Kenya| Nepal| Philippines and Uzbekistan. Brief case studies on the three countries who hosted evaluation missions (Colombia| Ghana| Kenya and Nepal) are held by the UN Environment Evaluation Office. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements| and (ii) to promote learning| feedback| and knowledge sharing that could be applied as the project moves towards its completion.
