The project's overall goal was to strengthen transboundary cooperation among the riparian country governments of Argentina| Bolivia| Brazil| Paraguay| and Uruguay to ensure management of shared water resources of the LPB in an integrated sustainable manner| within the context of climate variability and change| while capitalizing on development opportunities. The evaluation has two primary purposes: (i) to provide evidence of results to meet accountability requirements| and (ii) to promote learning| feedback| and knowledge sharing through results and lessons learned among UNEP| the GEF and their executing partner| the relevant agencies of the project in the participating countries| project stakeholders| and broader international community involved on IWRM of transboundary river basins.
